Dear Patients and Friends of the Good Samaritan Clinic,
You have been redirected to this page in order to inform you of some great news! Good Samaritan Clinic of Jackson County (GSCJC) and Blue Ridge Health (BRH) are happy to announce that, effective April 1, 2017, GSCJC has transferred its clinical operations to Blue Ridge Health (BRH). We are located at the same address, but now operate under a new name - “Blue Ridge Health - Sylva”.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, BRH has served Western North Carolina for over 50 years under the simple but powerful mission - to provide quality healthcare that is accessible and affordable for all. In pursuit of that mission at Blue Ridge Health in Sylva, BRH has expanded hours, increased provider staffing, and improved access to more comprehensive services.
Blue Ridge Health accepts Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, and most major insurances. No insurance? No problem. Discounted fees are offered on a slide scale for those who qualify and nobody is ever turned away because of an inability to pay. If needed, assistance is now available to help you apply for free or low-cost health insurance, as well. For patients, your medical records will remain in the clinic and will be available to your provider at your next scheduled visit. If you would like copies of your records to be sent to a different provider, we will need your written authorization.
Good Samaritan Clinic services are continuing as a part of Blue Ridge Health – Sylva. These services are aligned with the BRH mission, and provide critical wrap-around and support services to enhance the patient-centered experience. Services such as nurse case management & care coordination, medication assistance, mental health counseling, and connections with community resources are still available to those in need.
On behalf of the Good Samaritan Clinic and Blue Ridge Health, we thank you for your support. We are excited to be working together to better serve our community and expand health services in Jackson County, and we think you will be happy as well. You can contact Good Samaritan Clinic at 828-477-4334 with any questions.
