Filling the healthcare gap for underserved adults in Jackson and surrounding counties
Nearly 20% of adults in Jackson County, NC and surrounding counties (Swain, Macon, Cherokee, Clay and Graham) are without health insurance—that’s almost 6,000 in Jackson County alone. These are people who are working hard but are not covered by company plans, can’t afford those plans or other reasons. Some are disabled and can’t work.
Good Samaritan Clinic of Jackson County serves our community by providing qualified adults 18-65, a healthcare safety net that also eases the strain on hospital ERs. We offer a free primary care clinic, nurse case management, and prescription medication assistance. Our providers also refer patients to area specialists and hospitals as needed.
With a focus on preventive healthcare, we offer primary care as needed and for chronic conditions.
For people who need medications on an ongoing basis, but can’t afford the high cost.
